Winterton

Winterton is a small rural town in North Lincolnshire, England, 5 miles North-East of Scunthorpe. The population is approximately 5,000 people.

Winterton has a long history going back to Roman times and several large mosaic floors and other Roman remains have been found here. A roman mosaic was unearthed over 20 years ago and now resides in the Reception Area of Pittwood House (the Civic Centre for North Lincolnshire Council), on Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.

Winterton Cemetery is owned by Winterton Town Council but North Lincolnshire Council are responsible for burials and ground plots. If you would like to talk to the Cemeteries and Crematorium personnel about the cemetery, or need information on cremations, please phone 01724 747555.

Updating Your profile

To make changes to your profile click the gear icon just below the bottom right of your cover picture.

Add photos to your profile

You must add have an album to upload photos. Click +New Album and add a title to the Album title area. To add an album cover click in the album cover area and select a suitable photo from your computer. Do NOT click ADD until you have added all your photos by clicking +Add photos. Search for for photos to upload to your new album. You can keep adding more photos by clicking +Add photos again. When you have finished click the blue Add button, your photos will then be added to your profile. To add more photos to an album, click the album then the gear icon then select edit album.

Add a Title and comments to your Photos

Click Photos to display your photos, you can click Load more to display more photos, hover over an image will display the edit icon. You can then change the title and add a caption. Click Update to finish.
